The NAAFI Brüggen Ten Roadrace.

Participation

The event is open to all Service personnel within NATO, dependants, local running clubs and local civilians from NATO military establishments (minimum age 16 years old).

Course

The course is traffic free, flat and fast and within the bounds of Javelin Barracks.

Medical

Medical cover for the race will be supplied by the the german Red Cross and Fire Service paramedics. All race participants including children travelling from the United Kingdom are to ensure that they have brought their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with them.

Refreshments

Cold drinks are provided after the race near the registration hangar. There are drink stations at approx 2, 4 and 8.5 mile points.

Prizes and Awards

The following prizes and awards are available to participants:

  • First NATO Team.
  • Prize money for the top male and female runners.
  • Prize money (4 to count) to the first, second and third all-male and all female teams (subject to entries).
  • First three Veterans 40-44,45 - 49 years old and the first three super veterans 50+ years old.
  • Cash prize for course record-breakers, male and female.
  • T-shirt for all runners who complete the course.
  • Special T-Shirt for all male runners that finish in under 60 minutes and female runners in under 75 minutes.

Presentations

Presentation of trophies take place at approximately 16:15 hrs.

€12.50/£12.50 (per person) for postal registration.

Late Entries

Late entries are available on the day from 10.30 to 13.15 hrs. Cost €15.50/£15.50. This facility is NOT available for TEAM entries.

Registration

All Competitors must register for the race by 13:30 hours on the race day.

Service Accommodation

Limited barrack accommodation is available to military participants on camp. To book this facility please indicate on the application form. For block booking of Service Accommodation complete the accommodation requirement and send to the address above.

Hanger Bash

If you wish to attend the Hangar Bash, please include €5.00/£5.00 with your entry fee. Your ticket will be issued to you on the night.

Entrance to the Race Venue

All Entrants to the NAAFI Bruggen 10 Mile Road Race require a valid identity document to gain access to Javelin Barracks. This can be Military ID Card, Passport, Driving License, or other national identity document.
